The direct payment system is operating for privately insured patients with the following insurance companies:

• B.U.P.A.
• E.S.B Staff Provident Fund
• Garda Medical Aid
• V.H.I.
• V.I.V.A.S Health

As part of this scheme, you will be required to sign a form to enable the hospital to submit your account to the relevant insurer for payment.

All patients (with the exception of Medical Card holders and certain other exemptions) are liable for statutory in-patient charges.

Any patient who requests private accommodation and is accommodated in a private/semi-private bed, will be liable for additional charges for same.
