Visiting arrangements

Visits by relatives and friends are welcome. Visiting hours are normally limited to ensure that essential clinical work can be undertaken. Visiting is not permitted during meal times.

Visitors are not allowed after 8.30 p.m. unless they are close relatives of a very ill patient or parents. Children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised.

It would be most helpful for staff and the comfort of patients if visiting is confined to the following times:-

1.30 p.m. - 3.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. - 8.30 p.m.

If however you are likely to experience difficulties with the times, do discuss this with the nurse in charge. Too many visitors at one time can be very tiring post surgery, so we suggest you ask your visitors not to visit at the one time.
