Patient Information

When you Reach the Ward

You will be met by a nurse and shown to your bed. You will be provided with a plastic identity bracelet with your name and hospital number. Please wear this at all times while in hospital.

The nurse will explain the ward routine to you and show you where the ward facilities are.

A doctor will come to see you and examine you soon after admission.

If you are undergoing surgery, a consent form must be signed by you - the doctor will explain the procedure to you beforehand.

The nursing staff will discuss your treatment plan with you and any medicines you require whilst in hospital will be prescribed by the doctors looking after you.
