Complimentary Therapies
All the complementary therapies/counselling are available to people who have had a cancer diagnosis by appointment and on referral by a consultant or a nurse. Further details are available by contacting 061-485163. All therapies are free of charge.
Reflexology
Reflexology works the reflexes of the hands and feet.
- It reduces tension and pain.
- Induces relaxation.
- Channels energy through the body.
- Explores and releases emotions.
Massage
Allows stress and tension to flow out of the body, reduces anxiety and bring comfort to a patient. Induces complete relaxation.
Indian Head Massage
A very relaxing and gentle massage of upper back, shoulders, neck, head and face.
Reduces anxiety and tension, promotes relaxation and calms the mind.
Reiki
Reiki, pronounced "ray key" is a Japanese word meaning universal life energy. It is also the name given to a system of natural healing for the body, mind and spirit. Reiki energy flows through the hands to wherever it is needed in the body. It can be used very efficiently in conjunction with other medical and complementary practices.
