Can I Talk to my Doctor about my Treatment

If you want to know anything about your treatment, please ask the doctor or nurse who is looking after you. We will always honour your right to receive a clear explanation of your treatment and the options available to you at every stage of your care. Any information about your illness will be strictly confidential and will not be given to anyone else without your express permission.

Nursing staff will discuss with you which person or persons, e.g. next of kin or close friend, you wish to be kept informed about your progress and who should be contacted in the event of any emergency.
